About me
Life is a journey, and here is a bit about mine. In 2012 I was drawn to spend a year traveling abroad studying sustainable farming and intentional living. I returned from that year deeply inspired to pursue an education in Permaculture Design at The Center for Rural Livelihoods (formerly Aprovecho). In 2016 I obtained my RYT200 Yoga Instructor Certification with Dharma Shakti of Yogalution Movement. In 2017 (after 2 decades teaching sailing in the Alamitos Bay and Long Beach harbor) I earned my OUPV captains license. In 2018 I studied the art of Holistic Birthwork at The Matrona Birthkeepers School and in 2020 I graduated from The Panacea Holistic Institute as a certified massage therapist, where I return a few times annually as adjunct faculty to teach Womb Services and perinatal massage techniques. In 2021 I joined a mission with Jane Free Productions to co-found and assistant produce Long Beach’s DIY Film Festival; an ever evolving platform celebrating independent filmmakers, community, and expression, with an emphasis on mental health and suicide prevention through creativity.
In addition to the work that I do as a holistic practitioner, I am a proud mother to a spunky eleven year old daughter, a sailor, a multidisciplinary artist, dinner party enthusiast, and storyteller. I am passionate about human beings and our inherent connections to one another and to the world around us. To look through a holistic lens is to acknowledge the interconnected nature of all things. Through my work I apply this lens most specifically to our bodies, hearts, minds, spirits, environments, and communities. My hope is that by sharing my gifts with my community I am contributing to the wellbeing and liberation of all.
